Openstack installation in centos 7

Prerequisites

Network

$ sudo systemctl disable firewalld
$ sudo systemctl stop firewalld
$ sudo systemctl disable NetworkManager
$ sudo systemctl stop NetworkManager
$ sudo systemctl enable network
$ sudo systemctl start network 
$ sudo /etc/init.d/network restart
$ sudo vi /etc/hostname
<host_name> 
eg: stack.manmohan.com
$ sudo vi /etc/hosts
<ip_addr> <short_name> <hostname>
eg: 192.168.2.10 stack stack.manmohan.com 
$ sudo ping <hostname>
eg: $ sudo ping stack
$ sudo reboot 
 

Hardware

Machine with at least 16GB RAM, processors with hardware virtualization extensions, and at least one network adapter.

INSTALLATION

Step 1: create a new file /etc/environment and paste the following content in the file:

LANG=en_US.utf-8
LC_ALL=en_US.utf-8 
 
Step 2:Execute the following commands:  
$ sudo yum install -y centos-release-openstack-queens
$ sudo yum update -y
$ sudo yum install -y openstack-packstack
$ sudo packstack --gen-answer-file=answerfile.txt
$ sudo vi answerfile.txt
 
Step 3:CHANGE THE FILE CONTENT ACCORDING TO OUR NEED. 
CONFIG_CINDER_INSTALL=no 
CONFIG_SWIFT_INSTALL=no 
CONFIG_CEILOMETER_INSTALL=no 
CONFIG_AODH_INSTALL=no 
CONFIG_GNOCCHI_INSTALL=no 
CONFIG_NAGIOS_INSTALL=no 
CONFIG_PANKO_INSTALL=n 
CONFIG_SAHARA_INSTALL=n 
CONFIG_HEAT_INSTALL=n
